 OS X and jack problem
Hallo!

I try to work with ardour and hydrogen and have some problems with jack on os-x: I cannot connect hydrogen to the jack server with the binaries from the hydrogen webpage.
If I try to use jack as audio driver, I get the error that hydrogen was not compiled for jack.

So my questions:
- Is there any workaround with the existing binaries ? For instance is it possible to connect to jack with the coreaudio driver ?
- Otherwise, has maybe someone a compiled version for mac intel with jack support ?
- Or, last but not least, is there somewhere a step by step introduction on how to compile hydrogen on OS X ? (I know a little bit about compiling on linux, but on OS X it seems to be more difficult ...)

Any hints would be very much appreciated, because I would really like to use this great program together with ardour !
Many Thanks,
LG

Hi Anne,

there will be an updated OS X binary soon, but presumably without jack support. Some guys on our development-mailinglist got it running *with* jack, maybe you can ask there for advice!

 OS X and jack problem
I'm having this problem too - I've tried a few different versions now - currently have 0.9.4-svnexported, but still, if I try and use Jack as the audio driver it gives me the "not compiled for jack" error.

How can I fix this?

Hi guys and girls, I think this problem with jack and the osx build is now solved, see this section of the forum:

http://hydrogen-music.org/forum/index.php?action=show_thread&thread=1166&fid=7&page=2

The newest binary (svn1485) has this solution built in.
