Hi,

I use Hydrogen 0.9.3 on UbuntuStudio.
I have a little problem with the project's settings.
the workflow is :
- create a standard project with the standard drum kit.
- in the Motif Editor set Size : 8 and Resolution : 16
- save the project
- copy the project file (ex : MyHydro.h2song) on a disk
- now open the file on another computer based on the same linux distrib and the same Hydrogen version.
- i can see wrong values in the Motif Editor dialog :(
- Size : 4 and Resolution : 32T

can you help me ?

thanks in advance.

regards

the Pattern editor setting are not saved inside the h2song file. This is clearly a bug, I'll fix it in the next release.
thanks for the report

Hello, I have one problem too. When I edit the drumkit velocities, they won't get saved/restored on load.

Hi,

this is fixed in hydrogen 0.9.4. This version was freezed yesterday and we want to release it after 2 month of bugfixing and testing.

It's possible that I'm missing something, but:

changes I make to the Resonance Filter aren't there when I load the project the next time. I can hear the difference fine (once I figured out what the BYP button was for!) but it's set back to default next time I load.

Oh, using the Windows version, if that makes a difference.

Thanks - this is fantastic software!

Hi,

this works in hydrogen 0.9.4 (revision 404).

Thanks for the reply!

I'm pretty sure I'm using the latest version... the date shown on the download is 03092006, but that's the most recent date. Or is there a more recent version I'm missing?

*Edit* - obviously it's more recent than that, since in a previous post there was a new version discussed in July. I'll look again. :)

Hi Merlin,

the windows version is not updated anymore (we have no windows developer), so this is the recent WINDOWS version, but a very outdated version of hydrogen.
If you know someone who knows Windows, C++ and QT, send him to us :)

ahhhhh. Well, bummer. :p

Well, thanks... it's something I can work around, anyway. This definitely gives me a reason to switch to Linux! =)

Just out of curiousity, is the Mac version current?

Hi!

Hm, this depends on what you need. We will a release a final 0.9.4 version for mac when 0.9.4 gets released, but it won't have jack support (presumedly).. The most of us are developing for linux.

Switching to Linux for audio-related work is not a bad option these days, there are a lot of powerful tools and easy-to-use distributions (ubuntu-studio , 64studio, jacklab). And they're easy to install on "normal" hardware..
