hi folks,
has anyone used hydrogen and its associated audio requirements (such as jack, alsa) on an ARM platform?

I was thinking of building an embedded drum brain on the ARM platform, with display and all.

Id love to see Hydrogen on the Nokia 770 or n800... My 770 is in desperate need of a good drum machine.

Installing scratchbox now and might give it a whirl compiling hydrogen.

I an trying to remember if i got that going before? The difficulty you will have at some point with audio on ARM is float point. If you are a float point emulator whiz than no problem. ARM will have latency unless you can get that monahan chip from marvell. That might have enough horsepower to pull off hydrogen and LADSPA with JACK in the same manner that you are use to in X-86. It's gunna come down to CPU power and FPE.

I would just use a Geode LX800 it totally smokes with H2, JACK, ALSA and LADSPA.

just scroll down the page

Let me know how you do, I am curious if you can get a full and stable environment without any hang ups..

thanks
