I've tried saving files in Hydrogen. I takes me through all the steps (including the Save As dialog), but no file is actually saved. Anyone else experience this? (Windows XP)

I had that problem too. What you have to do is add it to "playlist". Its that field above the window in witch you compose. Just mark a few squares blue in the Pattern 1 row and then try again.

In few words, Hydrogen does not understand that you have a single pattern, but expects the entire song (several patterns).

I hope you'll get to read this, and that this solves the problem

The starting folder in the "Save as" dialog is "My Computer." It turns out you cannot save a file to this folder.

Two things need fixing to address this problem:

(1) Hydrogen needs to produce an error message if a user tries to save to this folder. (Without the error message I did not immediately know anything was wrong with the folder).

(2) The starting folder in the "Save as" dialog should be "My Documents" not "My Computer". I didn't bother navigating to my home folder initially because the non-native dialog makes it tedious.

Thank you for your reply. Your response encouraged me to experiment with Hydrogen again.
