Hi there. I'm running gentoo, have jack and ardour all set up, but when I start hydrogen it complains about missing flac files which are actually there, and refuses to make a peep, even after un-muting all the instruments. I googled quite a bit and have found no real answers, so any hint at a work-around would be greatly appreciated. I had hydrogen working with a xubuntu install and it was great.

I had problems with flac files with 0.9.3 For example, if a drumkit had at least one flac file to be loaded, HG would crash miserably. So I switched to 0.9.4 svn. There are a few problems with the SVN version but at least, it's working reasonably well, except for the occasional seemingly random crash (more rare than often). I can have HG opened for days without a problem. And most of all, I don't have to resample my drumkits to my sound card's sample rate beforehand. I run at 96000Hz and most of the drumkits are at 44100 or 48000. The SVN version does the resampling on the fly while 0.9.3 could not.

Where do I find the 0.94svn tarball? All I could find on the project page were for Windows and Mac.

It all worked out when I re-emerged Hydrogen with the flac USE flag enabled.

Thanks for a GREAT program!!

svn co http://hydrogen-music.org/svn/trunk hydrogen
