sounds skipping

I'm running Ubuntu Gutsy. I just installed Hydrogen and when I played the demos or tried creating beats the sounds were "pixelated" and skippish. I have no idea of the problem's cause or how to fix it. Help?

I too have this exact problem, and am running Gutsy as well. I know it's not my speakers because Hydrogen in Windows works perfectly. Maybe I need some sound drivers or something, or some way to configure my sound card? I would like to know how to solve this as well.
