Hey,

This is my first post. I am having a problem with my hydrogen set up when I run it through JACK. I am running Ubuntu Studio Hardy with my integrated mobo card until I get my Saffire Pro later on today> I am always getting what seems to be a clipped distorted sound running through jack. When I run through ALSA I do not have this problem and everything sounds great. I tried changing the buffer size in JACK, it did not improve matters, but the sound did change,

Any Help would be great,

Jamie

1. get full jackd playback connection port names (like oss:playback_1) -> jack_lsp will list all available port.
2. just look at your .hydrogen/ folder and edit your hydrogen.conf file
3. change jack_driver section like (change oss:* by your own port name)
oss:playback_1
oss:playback_2

That's all.
Hydrogen register alsa as default.
Hope this help,
