hello.

When we save a library, a .XML file is created. We can also edit this file to name(appoint) instruments for example. On the other hand, how do we that the software applies the changes in the library stored in "bibliothèque de sons"?

Hi dref!

If i understand you correctly, you want to save the changes that you have made to some instruments. You can do that by using the "Save soundlibrary" feature. I think "soundlibrary" means "bibliothèque de sons"?

tHANK YOU. There is a problem if I make save soundlibrary. The software saves the soundlibrary in the state where it is at the precise moment when we save.

My problem is the following one. I am in Hydrogen. I opened the .XML file to edit it. I edit the file. I close the explorer of file. I am always in Hydrogen who did not echo the modifications brought to the .XML file.

Hi!

If you edit the xml file while hydrogen is running, the changes won't have any effect on hydrogen. You have to save the file before hydrogen was started. Or you can reload the drumkit after you have saved the xml file.

tHANK YOU.

There is a problem. I have make right click (export the library).I go to the file Users\name\.hydrogen\data\drumkits\... file name of the library\.I make "EXPORTER". "dRUMKIT EXPORTED" ok!

If I look in the file data\drumkits\ ... file (name of the library)\ there is no file (name of the library).h2drumkit.

Where it is stored in my computer. I find it nowhere!

I tried to understand. When I save a library, Hydrogen creates a file in which there is a .xml file  and the audio files used for instruments. It is not the file which has for extension .h2drumkit as those whom we can download on the site of Hydrogen. It is right?

Thus my question is the following one: how do we make then to compress this file in the format .h2drumkit?

the 'export library' dialogue window allows you to specify the location where the library is saved

this will be a .h2drumkit file

this is a tar file that will contain an XML that describes the drumkt + the samples for the drumkit

hELLO. Thank you for the answer.

The problem is not solved. When the window "Exporter" opens, there are two options to be completed.

The first one is "Exporter". It is simply necessary chooses in the list, the library in charge of that we want to export. I choose a library.

The second is "Naviguer". It is necessary to select a file in which we are going to export the file ".h2drumkit". It is necessary to export the library in:C:\Users\... (name)\.hydrogen\data\drumkits\... (name.h2drumkit)\?

If it is necessary to make it, when I make "OK" one invites of command appears very briefly. Then, if I open the exploratur of the computer and at what I look in data\drumkits\ name.h2drumkit \, I see a file which bears this name. In this file, there is nothing.

I hope that you understand better my problem.

Hi!

It is very likely that there is a bug with drumkit export in the last windows build. The export was written to work on Linux and Mac OS X but was never really well ported to Windows...
