Hello everybody and first at all it's awesome to see the activity on this list. Open source audio/music is the future..believe me.

I would like to know if it's possible to create a multi-sample kit for different velocities. For example: I record 10 samples for each piece of drums. If the velocity is between 1 and 10, hydrogen bang the first sample, between 10 and 20, the second sample and so forth.

I could record the samples for testing if there is interest.

Cheers from Brazil

hey,
this is mostly the normal use for multilayer function in h2.
if you record your samples e.g. snare with different attack dynamics that also include different velocity you can arange this samples into the layer tab. also you can configure a velocity range for each sample. that's the expected use for this feature.
one important tip. if you record the samples, normalise all samples to e.g -6 db. also the silent samples of the layer set. because hydrogen manage the volume for each sample layer.

hope this will give you an answer of your question.
greetings to brazil

Allright...thanks for the explanation, I thought the multi-layers existed for summing the samples for any given hit. I 'll try to make the drumkit with 10 layers then. Has anybody tried such a drumkit ?

Of course. Have you questions about the performance?
