Hi all,

I just installed hydrogen and it looks very good. Being PC based I am a bit worried about stability but so far so good.

My question is: is there a way to set midi clock out so I can sync an external bit of kit. I would like to sync the arpegiator on my synth to the hydrogen drum speed.

Cheers

Dave.

Hi dave!

No, there is no midi-out at the moment, so we can't send any midi signals to the world outside of hydrogen.

[The next sentence applies only to linux-version]
Maybe you could ask at the LAU mailing list for a jack client which sends midi clock signals and could act as a jack transport slave.

Hi mauser,

Thanks for that.

I am just learning some of this terminology - its going to take me a while.

I am not familiar with jack/client/transport slave. I have seen jack referred to but havent got that far with the software yet. If thats an output then I would imagine it might be possible to direct a clock out to a midi port.

Sorry I dont know what the LAU mailing list is either?

Cheers

Dave.

Just forget it if you're using windows :) LAU is a mailing list for linux audio users, but that won't help you if you're using hydrogen on windows (linux is another operating system).
