Hey everyone,

The hydrogen project is looking for drumkits! If you have built a drumkit in the past from your *own* (or free licensed sounds), please think about sending us that kit to distribute it via sourceforge.
More informations about licesing etc. can be found here:

Hey all,

Thank you Mauser for directing me to this forum.

http://listen.to/benzene has been redirected to a new page where 2 new H2kits reside as well as links to sites hosting the music I've made using linux. These drum kits are still at the alpha stage and I am working on refining the samples to create studio worthy kits. I have also posted 2 songs that were recorded using the alpha versions of both kits.

Thanks for creating awesome, awesome, awesome drum sequencing software. I will continue to contribute new drum kits as I often as I can.

I created a drumkit with samples created by somebody on the net. I contacted the guy to see if I could use the samples and give the drumkit to the community. The answer was yes. Now how do I make the drumkit accessible to anyone?

Do I simply attach the drumkit to a message here? It is 16MB...

Hi!

Yes, just zip it and upload it as an attachment. If it's too big, mail it too me ( mauser@smoors.de ) and i'll care for hosting. It would be cool to have something like a "license" , or at least the information (email-adress) of the guy who created the samples.

The link in the original post is 404. I was interested in the copyright info for my djembe samples.

Hey all,

I just finished(mostly) a new drumkit. Samples are from a Pacific Drumworks kit, Evans heads and Sabian Cymbals, multi layered and mostly prefrobnicated, fully non-culprit samples. Tarball of samples coming tomorrow.

Download is available as always at http://listen.to/benzene.

Please leave feedback.

Thanks,

bZ

I've converted instruments from FreePats and Fluid(R3) SoundFont2 packages to flac format (gus patches are in exactly the same form as stored in a patch, most SF2 are tuned to 220 Hz). Feel free to use them to make drumkits (one can hardly make one drumkit out of more than 70 instruments in Hydrogen). I can also provide flac files for those tonal instruments in FreePats package that have multiple samples for different frequency ranges, if there's a way to use certain portion of sound file in Hydrogen depending on desired pitch (all pitches and ranges are known to me).
