Having trouble getting Hydrogen to recognize a drumkit. (now with pictures!)

Hey guys. I'm trying to get the GSCW drum samples to be recognized by hydrogen. I think I've followed the instructions to a T, but let me just repeat what I'm doing.

1. Put XML file and corresponding samples into a directory (Hydrogendrums/data/drumkits/gscw)

2. Boot up hydrogen. The drumkit manager recognizes the XML and I "load the kit"

3. The kit is loaded, but there are no samples displayed. Each 'instrument' is empty and shows no layers or anything. I guess the XML isn't recognizing the samples which are in the same directory?

This happens for both of the GSCW kits. The XMLs seem like they match and reference the correct filenames for the samples. This just leaves me with one idea...

Does the windows version of hydrogen not allow you to load a drumkit from a folder? Any prebuilt .drumkit file I've downloaded have all worked fine.

No, you have to copy all samples to the folder where the drumkit.xml is located.

Thanks for the reply. Although I'm not sure where I'm going wrong. I think I have been putting all the samples into the same folder as the drumkit.xml

I must be doing something very simple incorrectly. I'm going to attach some pictures to illustrate my situation.

This is the folder with the drumkit.xml, and all the samples. The samples referenced in the xml match the samples in the folder.

The drumkit manager recognizes the drumkit from the xml, so I load it.

Now the drumkit xml is loaded, but there no sound and the samples do not even show up in the layers area. Any ideas?

Ok, just solved things. The directory didn't match the name of the kit in the xml. Everything works fine now.

Sad to say, this doesn't work for me! I notice the two kits that are preloaded in Hydrogen both have a .svn folder included, whereas the kits I wanted don't. Will this prevent the kits from loading?

I've had a similar Problem: The name of the kit in the xml started with a captial letter, the direcory with a small one.

So the name-matching is case sensitive!
This might also apply to the samples.
