Hi all,

I'm trying to decompress a drumkit the way is said in some links and I'm totally unable.

I've tried with unzip, p7zip and lzma.
I briefly post the outputs of each program. Does anyone know why this is happening ?

Thanks much,

$ mv deathmetal.h2drumkit deathmetal.zip
$ unzip deathmetal.zip
...
unzip: cannot find zipfile directory in one of deathmetal-drumkit.zip or
deathmetal-drumkit.zip.zip, and cannot find deathmetal-drumkit.zip.ZIP, period.

$ mv deathmetal.h2drumkit deathmetal.7z
$ p7zip -d deathmetal.7z
...
Processing archive: deathmetal-drumkit.7z
Error: Can not open file as archive

$ mv deathmetal.h2drumkit deathmetal.lzma
$ lzma -d deathmetal.lzma
...
lzma: Decoder error

THANKS! :D
I probably got messed because I read how to do it under windows (didn't find any linux specific), and there was suggested to use 7zip.
Although it's been easy to do, it's not been so easy to find out how under Linux.
I'll post a brief how-to at the how-to's section at linuxmusicians.com about it, and also about how to change the note_on number midi event associated to each part of the drumkit (I found difficult to find out how to do that, as well).
I hope it will help people googling on that.
Thanks again, mauser.

Hi!

Maybe you could put that in our wiki and make a link from linuxmusicians ? That would enable other people to improve your howto. And it would be easier to change if there's a change in hydrogen's behaviour or something..

OK.. I'll do this way.
I didn't know about the wiki.. It woluld be good to have it accessible from the right hand menu at the hydrogen site.. or at least from the Documentation page.

It's accessible and called "development". Thats because it's not only a wiki, but a full featured development platform. But you're right, a seperate "wiki" link could draw extra attention on it..
