Hi!

We have released the rc1 today:

https://sourceforge.net/project/downloading.php?group_id=24662&filename=hydrogen-0.9.4-rc1-1.tar.gz&a=4642329

The release candidate contains the new manual, but not a finished
translation of the new manual. Please tell us if you want to do a
translation of the manual !!

Hydrogen Intrepid Package under Hardy.

I am writing to report that the Intrepid package works under Ubuntu Studio 8.04 (Hardy Heron). I had to manually download and install the support libraries from the Jaunty repo. So far there have been no crashes, or other issues come up from using these libs.

The reason for this is solid RT kernel support. Ubuntu Studio Intrepid did not have a usable RT kernel.

libqtcore4_4.5.0-0ubuntu4_i386.deb
libqtgui4_4.5.0-0ubuntu4_i386.deb

Hello mudfly,

So thankful you have found this solution. I have some questions, however:

Are there different support libraries for AMD 64 machines? Do I need the Universe or Multiverse repos?

Thanks,

Paul

Are there any drumkit dowload for Windows 8? Thanks

Paul,

This message might be too late, I am sorry I didn't see your message until today. I assume the dependent libraries are the same only compiled for 64 bits. As for which repositories, I would use this search tool to locate them.

http://packages.ubuntu.com/

Keep in mind that mixing repositories can break your system so you might want to backup / test / avoid doing this unless you are positive you wont break your machine.

I do not have a 64 bit install of ubuntu on any of my machines right now so I can't tell you for sure if the steps in my previous post is even possible.

I'm interested in translating the manual. You may give me information on how to proceed.

Best regards,
Carles.

Hi!

Great! The documentation for translating hydrogen can be found in the data/doc folder or here: http://trac.assembla.com/hydrogen/browser/trunk/data/doc/README.DOCUMENT...

it would be cool if you could subscribe to our devel mailing list, that makes it easier for us to answer (potential) questions...
Thanks!
Sebastian

Hello, i am new in this forum, my name is Dani, this last winter i worked with Hydrogen 0.9.3 on linux gentoo, i like it. I had problems with the instrument editor that did not load the instruments. In this moment i am far from home, i have not my linux box here, i am on an imac (intel, macosx 10.5.7) i downloaded the Hydrogen 0.9.4-svn95M from the download link and everything runs well, i don't understand why the old drumkit manager is obsolete because i don't find an alternative form, but this is just a detail ...
I also downloaded the last updated 0.9.4-rc1, from the Mac OS X section of this forum but i can not open it, i unzip it, i put it in the Application folder and when i try to start it with a double click, it gives an error.

Many thanks to the Hydrogen team, i used your software for realize my music themes in this last winter, i liked it and i think to use it again. I hope to give my contribute to this community from now in the future.

Ciao
Dani

I just complied hydrogen in Kubuntu 9.10 64 bit, it works fine.
Just follow these instructions:
http://trac.assembla.com/hydrogen/wiki/development%3Aqt4compile

I also made a debian-package, I might upload it if possible.

Hasta luego

Sven
