Audio is glitchy

I am having trouble with the audio in Hydrogen, whenever I am adding a new piece into a song, the audio it plays cuts out a bunch and sounds really bad, so I'm wondering if it's linux having problems with my audio card or something of that nature...it also does this while I try to listen to a full song, the sound is very hard to listen to, especially on cymbals as they last so long and cut out so much.

Edit: I suppose you want to know what kind of computer I have.

Newest version of Ubuntu...not very good with Linux, so whatever that is...lol, sorry for that!
