automatic backups

Hi there! Sorry if this has been answered elsewhere (the search feature wasn't working right for me). But is there a way to set Hydrogen to automatically back up work? I've had a few crashes where I've lost lots of material, so I've started backing up manually every minute or so. It would be much easier if I could set it (as I can set my word processor) to automatically back up my files every five minutes or so. Can I do this? How?

If not, is this feature coming?

Thanks!

Hi!

Which version of hydrogen are you using? We implemented an "autosave" functionality some time ago, i guess it was added in hydrogen 0.9.6 (but it might be not there in early development versions of 0.9.6).

It says 0.9.6 preview release for Windows [Feb 2 2011]. I just installed it about two weeks ago. Where is it?

Okay, downloaded and operational. Where do I set the automatic save? Is it controllable (so I can, say, have it autosave every three minutes or so).

Thanks

Hi!

No problem, i'm glad that you like it! The "automatic save" feature is always activated. It saves the current file every 60 seconds. The autosave file should be either in the directory where the file is located or in the directory where the hydrogen application has been started from.
