In the pdf that comes with the ns_kit7free it is stated:

"Copying, duplicating, selling, electronically transmitting, renting or other uses of these sounds not specifically for the purpose of personal, non-profit music production is prohibited by law."

Now my question is, is it possible to offer this kit for download as long as it is clearly indicated that one can solely use it for the purpose of personal, non-profit music production? What is 'personal' in this case? Does that refer to the availability or to the usability being restricted to one person? And did Atelier Robin change anything about this copyright statement? And how was this kit offered back in the days? How could you obtain it?

If anyone could shed a light on this, thanks!

Best,

Jeremy

Hi!

It would be the best if you contact them via mail. I had a dialogue with them some time ago about the free kit and a result of our discussion was that they released a new free demo kit :) But if i recall correctly, the drumkit was not meant to be distributed by other people.

Hi mauser, I'll contact Atelier Robin then. But they released a new free demo kit? Where can you get it?

Thanks,

Jeremy

Hi!

The "new" kit was released on 01/21/2009 and they distributed it via their forum. I don't know if its still there..

Hello mauser, do you have that new kit? Does it come with a license? If so, what does that license state? Thanks!

No, i don't have a copy around.. I remember that the license was nearly the same as the 'old' license.

Yeah, you're right. They slightly changed the license so it's impossible to share it. But I'll email them, I was lucky with the BigMono kit from Analogue Drums so maybe it works out well with Atelier Robin too.

Just got mail back from Atelier Robin and it is not allowed to redistribute the kit in any form. Presets no problem, but not the samples themselves.
