Hi

I composed songs with the 0.9.4.2 hydrogen and I have to intall a newest distro to work with audio (Ubuntu Studio). It comes with the 0.9.6.1 version of hydrogen and in spite of I saved all the h2song files and exported all the drumkits can't play most of the instruments. I have imported all the drumkits to the new version of hydrogen but most ofthe instruments are show with the "M" of mute (on the left instrument list) and even if I "unmute" them,  the instruments won't sound.

I have composed new songs with the newer version of hydrogen and it do play and sound all the instruments.

So I think there may be some kind of incompatibilities or something migrating old songs.

might you help me?

Thank you

Hi Carlos!

What happens if you start a new song in hydrogen 0.9.6.1 with the imported drumkits? Can you hear a sound?

Hi. I add my requet to this thread so not to open another similar. I also migrated from the 0.9.4.2 to 0.9.6.1 version since I've changed computer. I exported the kits that are not in the new version and imported in it.

As for Carlos, when I open an existing track all the instruments are muted. When I unmuted them nothing happens. The program works perfectly, I've tried to make a track with the same kit I've used for the song I made on the other computer and it works without any problem.

I hope this issue can be solved, it would be a pain in the butt having to re-write all tracks.

Hi telover!

Just try to re-load the current drumkit via the soundlibrary browser (the explorer-like window on the right side). This should fix the problem!

Hi Mauser and thanks alot for the answer.

Great, it worked. Though there's another problem now: it doesn't hold the time.

For example, a track is 55bpm. It speeds slows up while playing. I haven't tried the other tracks yet.

Hi Telover,

this is in most cases an indicator for a problem with your audio setup. It happens sometimes if you use ALSA as a sound driver but your setup is not performant enough.. I would propose to try out jackd for any audio related work.

Hope that helps!
