Hi again!

I've just connected my electronic drum pad to hydrogen via midi. I've been able to get a dum to sound when I hit a pad, but they aren't mapped to the instruments I'd like - how do I do this?

Thanks.

Hi!

At the moment you need to re-arrange the instruments in the instruments-list via drag'n'drop. Or you could use an external (software) midi mapper.

Ok, thanks. I've tried moving the instruments up and down, but it's a pain - every time I move one, the others go out of sinc! Can you recommend a midi mapper? I've hunted on the software centre but not sure what I'm looking for - nothing seems to be called "Midi mapper" or anything obvious!

Thanks again!

oh, keep in mind that only a few Hydrogen drumkits use the same mapping (the so callen 'gm-compliant' mapping)

in other words, if you manage to configure mididings correctly for a gm-compliant drumkit it will not work correctly if you load a non-compliant kit
