keyboard shortcuts for tempo up/down

Hi, I'm running Hydrogen on a laptop under Ubuntu 12.04.  I use it to keep tempo when I'm practising tunes.

I use spacebar and backspace shortcuts.  However what I really need is to be able to control the tempo without having to:

put the melodeon down;

get my reading glasses; hit the tempo up/down with the mouse

pick the tempo I need, then click start.

Take glasses off; play again

It would be great to have tempo up / tempo down keyboard shortcuts eg on the up & down keyboard keys.

and perhaps shortcuts for volume up/down too.

Is there any way (eg a config file) to add more keyboard shortcuts?  I'm presently playing with an arduino if that give s anyone an idea that might help me.

Hi,

plus/minus seems to work at least on my Mint 14 + H2 0.9.6. I find keypad +/- especially handy (which of course could be less so on a laptop.).

For your actual question I couldn't find an answer for now.

as a workaround you could maybe also use the MIDI actions (see this part of the manual) and use a midi keyboard or some controller

or a software midi controller

if you are planning on making an arduino-based midi controller make sure you check out this page :
