I am trying to compile hydrogen with support for jack. both the 8.1 and 8.2 versions exibit the same behaivoir...

it will NOT enable jack support. Jack is installed and working fine. other jack apps see jack and happily compile.

I am using jack 0.94 is hydrogen incompatable with the latest jack? what can I do to force hydrogen to compile with jack support?

there's no compatibility problem with latest jack.

Can you post the log produced during ./configure?

I cant post the log, this forum wonlt let me post anything but a tiny snippet.

give me an email address to send it to.

the configure is not seeing the jack libraries even though they are sitting there in /usr/local/lib where jack installed them.

rosegarden and qjackctl can find them fine.

Did you manage to work this out? Having the same trouble...

The configure tells me to add the directory containing 'jack.pc' to PKG_CONFIG_PATH. Trouble is, there is no file named jack.pc on my computer.

Someone worked this out?

Have tried hydrogen without jack, and it seems lovely ,)

jack.pc was installed to /usr/local/lib/pkgconfig when I built jack from cvs. I had the same problem until I ran this command before my configure. Hope this helps.

# export PKG_CONFIG_PATH=/usr/local/lib/pkgconfig
