Okay I'm running..Hydrogen 0.8.0 on SuSe 9.0. First of all, this is my favourite Linux audio program ever for sheer usability. It worked out of the box, literally 3 minutes after I installed the rpm I was creating beats. Very happy with it and I use it literally every day.

I've downloaded quite a few drum kits and figured out the import thing. However when I load up some of them, it crashes Hydrogen! 3355606, GM (of course), EasternHop,HipHop1 and HipHop2 all load up and work no problem. Millo-Drums, UltraAcoustic and HardElectro DON'T. HardElectro did work the first time I tried it but afterwards, no go. Tried running Hydrogen from a terminal but all it says it 'segmentation fault'. Any ideas?

Maybe 0.8.0 is a bit too old...
The drumkit format is slightly changed now but with some luck you can still load these new drumkits.

*Here's a little trick*
A drumkit is just a tar.gz containing all the samples...so try expanding the file h2drumkit inside your drumkit directory.

tar xzf foobar.h2drumkit
mv foobar ~/.hydrogen/data/

Then try to start hydrogen and cross your fingers :)

good luck
