Another probably trivial question:

How start hydrogen with particular playlist ?

BTW. current solution for control playlists via MIDI is next/previous. IMHO better idea is just select songs via program change message, or maybe it is already possible ? If not then I can preapre some patch ;-)

open a terminal and start hydrogen like this :

hydrogen --help

you will see that you can use the -p or --playlist option to do this

patches are ALWAYS welcome !  :-)

AFAIK there is no option to jump to a specific song in the playlist (i'm assuming that this is what you want to do ?), so if you have a patch : bring it on and your name will be added to the dev list (thereby you will gain ethernal gratitude of all H2 users ;-)

Thanks for answer. I just searched for this option in manual , but now I see that it is outdated. I even can't find manual source in hydrogen , so seems that it is developed outside. My fault that I did not check -h ;(

I provide "jump patch" soon on devel maillist.

Hi,

the source of the manual is in data/doc.

Hi,

Patch for allow select specified song is waiting now on maillist for commit (or reject ;-). There is also support for mapping ProgramChange messages (contrary to hardcode "next pattern" action). Finally , user can map PC message to "next song" action.

BTW. thanks for info about manual - I try to update it and give you a patch.
