Hi

I recently started using Hydrogen and am absolutely loving it. I have just created my first track using the death metal drum samples. The problem I have is I'd like to export the kit to use in some different software. Is it possible to do this?

you should never do this !!  you must stay with Hydrogen  ;-)

if you export a drumkit (via Instruments > Export Library) this will create a tar file named 'kitname.h2drumkit' that contains all the samples

however, in most cases it's not just the sample you need to recreate the drumkit, but also the extra info that 'describes' all other parameters (like velocity, layers, ADSR ...)

This info is not stored inside the samples, but in a separate xml file (also available in the h2drumkit file) that -afaik- no other app will be able to 'understand' it

so, yes you can export the samples and manually import these into an other app, but you wont be able to import the complete drumkit at once

Great, thanks for the info. I think I've found a way of working around the problem I had in Hydrogen now anyway which means no need to flip between 2 programs :D
