Updates are always welcome!

Thank you for all your hard work!

I do get an interesting message when I try to start it up though.

mingwm10.dll is missing.

I've tryed reinstalling it.

I did notice that there were a number of missing dll files from the Hydrogen folder compared to older builds.

I downloaded this new version.
I was pleased to see that NSIS now is in the latest version. :)

Before I installed it, I uninstalled the old version, and noticed that it deleted everything in C:\Program Files\Hydrogen\, even the files not put there by Hydrogen, such as custom language files.

I installed the latest version. And upon running it, it complained about a missing file called 'mingwm10.dll'.
That file was not included in the latest build, but was included in the previous build. I managed to find that file, and put it in the Hydrogen directory and runned Hydrogen again.
This time it complained about 'QtCore4.dll'. I put that file in the Hydrogen directory too, and once again runned Hydrogen, this time it complained about 'QtGui4.dll'.
I placed that file too in the directory, and runned and it showed an error that complained about "Entry Point Not Found" stating that "The procedure entry point _ZN11QTreeWidget5eventEP6QEvent could not be located in the dynamic library QtGui4.dll", maybe that is because this new build depends on a later version of Qt4, maybe Qt 4.1?

The 'Hydrogen\data\' subdirectory also contained a couple of .svn directories which I suppose should not be there in a release.

I get the same error as Eldmannen. "The procedure entry point _ZN11QTreeWidget5eventEP6QEvent could not be located in the dynamic library QtGui4.dll."

I'll see if I can dig out the QT4.1 link libraries from somewhere. I think quite a few changes have been made to the TreeWidget classes from 4.0 to 4.1.

Alright, I downloaded the QT 4.1.1 from http://www.trolltech.com/download/qt/windows.html. I am now up and running with the latest Windows build. (Why I didn't just wait for Comix to post a new installer, I don't know :D).

Anyway, I wound up needing the following version 4.1 DLLs:

QtCore4.dll
QtGui4.dll
QtXml4.dll
QtSvg4.dll
QtNetwork4.dll

I put those in my H2 folder and it started up nicely. The user interface changes look good. And hey, I can click in an empty part of the scroll bar without it crashing! ^_^

I'll post again after I have time to play around more.

I wonder why QtSvg4.dll is needed...
As far as I know, there is no SVG in Hydrogen.

eheh SVG support... :)
there's no SVG yet, but in a near future some images will be vectorial.

Ciao

I had alook on the Trolltech website but couldn't find the dlls on their ftp... does that mean I have to download one of the 30meg dev packs and find them in there?

Comix, we want a new installer that actually works!

I couldn't find the DLLs on their website either. I wound up just downloading the QT open source installer (which comes with source code). This would probably be a pain if you are on dial-up.

I don't know how picky Windows is about different architectures, but here are the dll's I built from the link provided by remline (which I assume are kosher to share - please repremand appropriately if not). Hydrogen seems to work fine now. Windows XP, Pentium-4, if it matters.

Ooops too big to post here. I'll work on an external link.

Here, try this:

http://www.personal.psu.edu/nbc109/h2_dlls.zip

Weighs in a little over 3MB. Still a bit painful over dial up, but an order of magnitude better.
