I like how the toms almost sound like timpani! And the kick sounds are really good. The stick and snare sounds are quite muffled and the volumes are uneven, but otherwise, I like what you've done!

if i have some spare time i'll make a new multilayer drumkit ...

hi, nice set.
i like the open tuned toms and kicks.

but maybe :-) two thinks you can change. all samples are very long. shorten them give better performance with hydrogen. dsp load increase a little bit with your set.

also you can add an licence node into your drumkit xml file.
new 0.9.4 drumkits have a licence node.
if you have record this drumkit you can published it under a license like gpl, open music license or so on. than it is possible to publish your drumkit from a drumkit server (new soundlibrary import feature from h2 0.9.4) or e.g. directly on the hydrogen webpage.

beginning of drumkit.xml with license node:

Darthvim
Eduard Grinke

p, li { white-space: pre-wrap; }

Basix drum kit
zildjian zbt set
stagg ride
stagg hihat

remo coated
copyright, your name, date, gpl, green or yellow open music license or what ever
.........

sorry the attachment was an accident

I'm making a collection of drumkits but I'm still waiting for the pitch correction on 0.9.4. Will this version be released this week?

Hi,

you don't have to be waiting, grab your own copy from our svn-repository!
It won't differ much from RC1 and it is easier to stay up-to-date.

Look here if you don't know how to compile hydrogen:

thanks for your opinions :)

i've worked on the audio files and chopped them and setted the volume of the samples more corret. so the kit has now a good sound.

if you use a portion of gverb on the bassdrum snare hihat and crahes and eq you get your own custom great sound :)

i added the license tag - the kit is now under yellow open music license
if you want to you can distribute it through your website

great work....
thanks a lot for this nice set.
imo the sample gain into the hydrogen gain settings is a little bit to much, but anyway a really cool sounding drumset. :-) :-) big sound.

and, if i become incredible rich with your samples you becomes many many gold too. :)
the yellow thing.

hmm, more or less the whole set.
imo, gain settings with your samples not over 1.0 to prevent override
think with 1.0 you use the hole sampledepth and have also a little bit headroom for dynamics.

hi,
i have make some changes into drumkit.xml file. i turned all gain settings >1 = 1, also i remove all not used instruments.
see attachment.
if this ok for you, i will put your drumkit on my personal server. include my little varied drumkit.xml file.
maybe we can put them to the sourceforge server, but i have no access to the sf server so i don't want to make a pie in the sky.

into soundlibrary import dialog push edit server list and add this line:
http://popez.org/~wolke/hydrogen/test_dr_list/drumkit_list.php
update list and test. if its not wanted from you i remove your sets.
this is only a test list.

hi,

i am wondering, why you put up the old version (2.3), (as far as i remember i am using now stereo samples for most of the cymbals, otherwise it's the same) - but nevertheless great :) thanks :)

ps: so it's up to the user to decide what kind of drumkit one prefers

your are right,
i have remove the 2.3 version
and i see my typo 44,1 kH means kHz, think this is not so important. everybody know what it means.

hi darthvim,
question.
what do you think to contribute the Darthvim_V2.5 drumkit under cc creative commons http://creativecommons.org or green open musik licence? the yellow licence is not the right licence to put the drumset at the source forge hydrogen project download page.
