Hi all, one of the most requested feature is to change the BPM inside a song.
Well, a patch by Jakob Lund allows to use Jack-transport to sync with ardour following the BPM changes.
This means that there's still no bpm changes in the Hydrogen gui but you can drive hydrogen from ardour.

I've tested it, and workd like a charm :-D

The patch is included in revision 297.

Ciao

do you know which version of jack is required for this support?

I had to disable that bit of code because the bbt_offset field is missing in the jack api's for what I have installed currently.

I'm using libjack0.100.0-dev in ubuntu feisty.
The jack version is 0.102.20.

Hope this helps

Hi,

It works just great here with hydrogen trunk, ardour2 trunk and jackd trunk. You have to set ardour "time master".

Thanks to hydrogen team for that :-)

that's exactly what I was trying to determine, if just upgrading to feisty would be enough, or if I had to plan for a local jack install.

Should this work with the 'stable' hydrogen ?

I have 0.9.3 with jack 1.103.0 and ardour 2.0.3 2094
and the BPM is not updated in hydrogen. when a 'tempo' change occurs in ardour
